Guernsey is the second largest of the Channel Islands , lying some 50kms from France.  It is a self governing, British Crown dependency, known for its friendly people, rugged granite coastline, golden beaches, mild climate and a breed of dairy cattle famous for its rich milk. Guernsey, along with the other islands of the Bailiwick, (Alderney, Sark, Herm)  offer outdoor activities like hiking and sea-swimming and the settlements provide a unique history given the mix of British and Continental influences.

We have two friendly Guilds on the island, each offering a varied programme of stimulating activities for our 50 members.  We are fortunate to have a walking group who meet weekly.
