Within our County we have amazing history with Colchester, Britain’s oldest recorded town (now a city) with its historic castle. Layer Marney Tower, a Tudor country house built around 1523. St Peter on the Wall, Bradwell on sea, a Christian church dating from 660-662. Delicious food from Tiptree Jam Factory, Mersea Oysters and Maldon sea salt. For leisure we have Hyde Hall, an RHS garden: Clacton on sea and Frinton on sea, for lovely beaches and Abberton, Essex wildlife trust.
