
Derbyshire is a large county, in the centre of England, containing the city of Derby, numerous towns, villages and hamlets. It is home to country houses such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall.
The majority of the Peak District, with stunning hills and valleys, is in Derbyshire. It also boasts spa towns such as Buxton, famous for visitors taking the “waters”. Bakewell attracts many visitors each year. This is the home of the famous Bakewell pudding. Chesterfield has its quirky Crooked Spire that sits on top of St Mary and All Saints, the parish church of Chesterfield.
