Cumbria North is the largest geographical county in the region and has the second lowest population density in England. The county stretches for a distance of over 80 miles from North to South and East to West, and encompasses both the Lake District fells and a large area of the Pennines. It covers the districts of Allerdale, Carlisle, Copeland and Eden and has only 3 urban areas, one of which is the city of Carlisle. Trefoil endeavours to give all of their members as many opportunities as possible to meet up and socialise while enjoying the range of activities and challenges on offer and maintaining strong links with members of Girlguiding in the county. The Lones guild gives members who are unable to attend a local Guild the opportunity to get involved in county-wide activities and keep in touch with other members.
