The Island of Anglesey (Ynys Mon) is the home of Anglesey Trefoil. It is a small island -approximaately 276 square miles - off the north west coast of Wales. It lies just across the Menai Straits from the City of Bangor on the east side, and has one of the main UK ports, Holyhead, on the west side - linking us with Ireland. We are a predominantly rural area, with a handful of major towns scattered across the island, with tourism playing a major part of our ecomony.
We currently have one small Trefoil Guild, which generally meets in the afternoon, on different days each month. We have a varied programme, and are increasngly getting together with our neighbours in Caernarfonshire.
Our Guild has been twinned with Dun Laoghaire Trefoil Guild (Eire) for over 25 years, and we keep in regular contact. We also get together every couple of years, taking it in turn to host 'our friends across the water'!
