Anglia Trefoil Guild Annual Review Brings Members Together in Bury St Edmunds
More than 300 members from across the Anglia region gathered in Bury St Edmunds on 25 April 2026 for the Anglia Trefoil Guild Annual Review — a day filled with friendship, discovery, activity and support.
Held at the University and Professional Development Centre, the event celebrated everything that makes Trefoil Guild special. From reconnecting with old friends to meeting new people, members embraced the opportunity to share experiences, celebrate achievements and look ahead to the future together.
Throughout the day, members took part in a variety of activities that encouraged creativity, conversation and involvement. Many also explored the historic surroundings of Bury St Edmunds, including visits to the Abbey and nearby attractions, making the most of the town’s rich history and welcoming atmosphere.
One of the highlights of the event was a fascinating talk by Catherine Buchanan, who brought Anglia’s history to life through stories of remarkable women connected to the region. Her presentation featured a colourful mix of characters — some inspiring, some controversial — and sparked plenty of discussion among members.
The Annual Review reflected the heart of Trefoil Guild: finding friendship, getting active, getting involved and giving support. Whether attending for the first time or reconnecting with familiar faces, members left the event with shared memories, new ideas and a renewed sense of community spirit.
