Seaside fun at Cromer

70 Norfolk Trefoil Members Attend Cromer Pier Show

What an amazing site as I walked from the car park towards the pier at Cromer. The sun was shining and it seemed everywhere I looked there were groups of Norfolk Trefoil Guild members resplendent in red, some wearing the new baseball caps and there were even red balloons!

The plan was for everyone to head towards the pier at lunch time before watching the Cromer pier summer show. Some had chosen to eat in café’s but the majority had picked up a sandwich or as I had, some fish and chips on the way down, to enjoy in the sunshine.

There was a great atmosphere of people saying hello and introducing their guilds or catching up with old friends.

Jean who had organised the tickets, handed them out too each guild.  Then we made our way to the show and what a fantastic show! Such talented performers and a great variety of acts and songs. At the end, one of the young usherettes who was a former Aylsham guild member, had asked the cast if they we could have a photo with them. They all came to speak to us and it was a lovely to thank them for the great show. Meanwhile others had made their way out and were saying their goodbyes, taking advantage of more photo opportunities. What a lovely afternoon, a very enjoyable relaxing event and very well attended.
