NEE 53rd Annual Meeting at The Queens Hotel, Leeds
On Saturday the 10th May, over 300 members and guests enjoyed a wonderful day in the Queens Hotel ballroom for the NEE region 53rd annual meeting.
Thank you to all the members from Leeds County for their stewarding and warm welcome to us all.
We were delighted to welcome Della Salway, National Trefoil President, Wendy Howard, Chief Commissioner NEE Girlguiding and Carol Milburn, Lead Volunteer for Central Yorkshire Scouts, as our special guests.
Our guest speaker, Rebecca Haworth, presented us with a fascinating and humorous insight into her life experiences revolving around food and her journey since being a brownie and guide, entitled 'From Marshmallows to MasterChef’. After becoming a Masterchef quarter finalist in 2019, she has continued to share her love of food as a guest chef at various food festivals, in pop-up restaurants and hosting private dinner parties.
As promised, she has shared some of her favourite recipes for you to try.
Aunt Beccy's Yorkshire Puddings Chicken Saltimbocca Slow Cooked Lamb, with garlic and rosemary
Seabass with new potatoes and caper dressing Prawn, Rocket and Basil Pasta Halloumi Fires and crudities
