Service of Thanksgiving

Over 400 members attended the service which was held at the Central Methodist Church, St Saviourgate, York on Saturday 11th November 2023 at 2pm.

In order to fulfil our aims of offering support to the community, we asked that each member attending donate either a hat, a pair of gloves, socks or boxer shorts if they can. The response was amazing and the church had to supply many more boxes than anticipated.

They will go to Carecent, a charity run by the church, to support the homeless and other vulnerable members of the community.

A massive thank you to everyone who came along, contributed and supported us as we celebrated. Thank you too to the members who although could not attend, still contributed.
The collection raised a tremendous £1038.09 which will go towards providing a festive Christmas lunch for all.
