Sheffield Dore Guild in the village of Dore is a guild within Sheffield County in North East England. Last month eight members of the guild worked with Dore Guides to dress The Well which depicted The Great Fire of London using natural materials. Well dressing (also once known as well flowering) is a summer custom practised in rural England in which wells, springs or other water sources are decorated with designs created from flower petals. The custom is most closely associated with the Peak District of Derbyshire and Staffordshire.
