Do you want to have some fun and challenge yourself?
Don't have a Trefoil Guild in your local area?
Can't make the time or day of your local Guild meetings?
It's easy to set up your own Guild, here's how!
1. Get some friends together - you only need six people. If you do not have six people, arrange a meeting attended by the County Chairman and the local Commissioner and invite former Guides/Senior Section, Leaders and friends.
2. When you have six people, elect the three officers to keep the guild organised;
Chairman
Secretary
Treasurer
Having these officers in place helps to keep a record of the activities and money involved with running a Guild to ensure the smooth running of meetings throughout the year.
There are many different avenues that a new Guild can take, it may be that a local group of Leaders would like to get together and enjoy activities away from weekly meetings with their units. It could be a mutual interest such as Sailing, Walking or Photography that a group would like to share within the structure of Trefoil Guild.
3. Register your Guild
To register, you will need to fill in this form (click here to download) and talk to your local Guiding Commissioner about your Guild. This will help to encourage a link with local Guiding, and will ensure you receive information about local events and opportunities for members.
Guidance and information about who the registration form should be sent to can be found here (click to download).
4. Organise your programme and have fun!
Involve all members in planning the programme to ensure there is something for everyone. Always look for and welcome new members - there are free PR materials you can use available from Trading Service.
5. When going to your meetings, remember to take a camera and send us some fun photos for The Trefoil magazine and the website!
