Guilds’ activities included Bring and Share cookery evening, learning how to make sugar flowers, soup tasting and meals out (Middx NW enjoy their food!) Several guilds joined together with Ruislip-Northwood to celebrate Thinking Day with a tea. Pinner had a visit from one of their Guides who had been on an international trip to Japan last year. Acorn has started on their Voyage Challenge and are enjoying making scrapbooks to record their progress. They are also planning a sleepover in May. Ruislip-Northwood had an afternoon clearing their cupboards at their meeting place and enjoyed reading through various Trefoil memorabilia and reminiscing about previous members. They also donated £22.50 to Talking Trefoil, raised instead of sending Christmas cards to each other. Willow Tree has unfortunately had last minute cancellations by speakers at two meetings. They filled one meeting with a very noisy and enjoyable game of “Articulate” and several quizzes. At the following meeting one of their members stepped in and showed them how to make decoupage greetings cards.
We are hoping for good weather on 14 May when about 60 members are expected at the County AGM followed by tea to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday. click here to return to Middlesex North West page
