Celebrating Empire Day at Beamish

On 21st May, 2016, 11 members of Priory Guild, a relatively new guild which was started last year in North Yorkshire South County joined Priory Division Girlguiding for this event which was held at Beamish Open Air Museum in County Durham to celebrate Empire Day. They joined in the "Victory" parade which snaked around from the town to the pit village - the aim was to show how much the young people helped during the 1st World War. For those of you who've never visited Beamish, it's well worth a visit where you see a recreation of life as it was in the 1820's  in North East England.
