75th Anniversary Coastal Walk

75th Anniversary Coastal Walk

Arfon Guild are still walking, regardless of the mud - Fourmile bridge to RAF Valley this time.

Arfon Guild covered the stretch between Penrhos Park and Holyhead Port in December

Swansea walked between Langland Bay and Pennard
Our Country chair paddling during a walk between Pennard and Bishopston

West Glamorgan walked from Oystermouth to Langland Bay.

Penylan Trefoil decided (or rather I decided & they had no choice!)
to walk the coastal path from Middle Newton Farm to Church Farm on
the Wentloog levels.

Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire got together to celebrate their meeting point.More than 30 members enjoyed tea at the Cardigan Wildlife Centre.

Cardiff and East Glamorgan guilds have been walking during the summer - Rhiwbina, Cyncoed, llandaff and Dinas Powis. They have covered various areas. Meanwhile, Arfon Guild have been at it again, and completed the circular walk Rhoscolyn - Silver bay. Then they started again at Silver Bay and reached Holyhead causeway via Four Mile bridge where they stopped for lunch.
Merle Cook walked from the beginning of the path to Queensferry Hotel.
Here are Arfon Guild hardy hikers.

Here they are again, walking South Stack to Porthdafarch.

           and relaxing!

Arfon Guild completed Trearddur Bay to Borthwen.
Jill Stott and her husband walked from Trefor to Nefyn,Nefyn to Tuweliog, Porthmadoc to Ynysgain.
Ann Donaldson from Mold  walked a  bit of the Pembrokeshire path near Poppit, and Beti Morris from                 Ceredigion walked from Whitesands Bay to St. Justinian's.
Ann Sutton and family walked seven miles of the Pembrokeshire path from Ceibwr to Newport.                           Wendy Moore writes: I decided to do a bit of Bangor from Treborth Gardens to Coleg Normal. I ventured             down a supposedly closed footpath and nearly had too close an encounter with the Menai Straits!!

Wendy has now walked some more of the path around Bangor, from Treborth to the Faeno estate, via Britannia Bridge.
On the 3rd of August four members of Hafren Trefoil Guild walked for over an hour from Aberdovey  towards Tywyn  among the sand dunes and along the beach and then returned on a circular route. No real coastal path but followed the meandering path through the dunes and golf course to enjoy our reward of a cake and cuppa back in Aberdovey.  As you can see two of our members use a stick to walk so for them it was quite a challenge but one that they enjoyed.
