• Wiltshire South Celebrate the Centenary!

  On Friday evening 11th June 2010, sixty members and friends of the Wiltshire South Trefoil Guilds descended on the Jubilee Hall in Bratton to celebrate 100 years of Guiding, with a 1940’s theme.

• Hampshire West Trip to St Vincent Bequia and Barbados

  3 May 2010

  At the beginning of March, eight members from Trefoil Guilds in Hampshire West, led by the County Secretary Pearl Davis, escaped the cold dreary weather of England, to enjoy three weeks of sunshine by visiting St Vincent, Bequia and Barbados.

  Three Scottish members from Yeovil Guild put on a traditional Burns’ supper for 30 members at the end of January.

  I’d often wondered what it would be like to do a sky dive and on seeing a photo in the local paper I decided to have a go. The photo was of a lady who was going to do a tandem sky dive on 10th October. As that was my birthday, well, wouldn’t you!

• Wiltshire South's Weekend at Berwick St James.

  In July 2009 thirty members from Wiltshire South Trefoil Guilds held their annual weekend at Wiltshire South Guide Centre at Berwick St James, this years theme being ‘Pirates’. Some sleeping in the building, with others outside in an assortment of tents.

• South West England Trefoil Guild Annual Meeting and Activity Day

  22 May 2009

  Early one Saturday in April four hundred members from all over South East England descended on Truro, some spending an extended holiday weekend or even a week, to attend the Region Annual Meeting and Activity Day. The morning’s activities included visiting places of local interest, including a Brewery, National Trust properties, Shelter Box, or attending a film show of Cornwall and participating in making crafts.

  Yeovil Trefoil Guild, Somerset held a Big Breakfast in February. We served 166 breakfasts at £5 a time and made £1,040 profit, which included proceeds from cake, books and plant stalls and a raffle.

• World’s Highest Coffee Morning

  The ‘Everest 100’ project is part of Girlguiding SW England’s centenary celebrations. Through a series of trips it aims to enable 100 members to stand in front of Mount Everest for their personal Mountain top moment! I was lucky enough to be invited to take part and this is my story…

• Wiltshire South Visit New Zealand

  23 February 2009

  Following months of planning and saving, 24 members and friends of Wiltshire South Trefoil Guilds, left Heathrow Airport for the experience of a lifetime. We changed planes quickly at Changi Airport ,Singapore, travelling on to Auckland in the North Island of New Zealand, arriving very tired ,but with feelings of excitement and anticipation. We were met by Margaret, our New Zealand friend and before arriving at our hotel for the night were taken by coach for a sightseeing trip around the city.
