• Madam Mayor, Madam Mayor!

  In May 2009 Oswestry Trefoil Guild were very proud when one of their members became Town Council Mayor. What happened in May 2010 made them even more proud as a second member took up the position! I took the opportunity of catching up with Margaret Chamberlain and Elaine Channon them to ask a few questions which might shed some light on their active lives.

• Midlands Centenary Luncheon

  8 June 2010

  Almost four hundred members from all over the Midlands Region celebrated the Centenary with a Luncheon on Saturday 15 May. The magnificent setting of the Botanical Gardens at Edgbaston was the venue for the event. The sun shone for most of the morning so members were able to enjoy their pre-lunch drinks in the gardens, which were looking beautiful. Members then sat down to a three course lunch.

• Midlands AGM and 'Let's Experiment'

  23 April 2010

  On Saturday 17 April Midlands Region held their AGM at Trefoil House, Birmingham. President Jane Campbell welcomed the National Deputy Chairman, Veronica Threlfall and about one hundred members to the meeting.

• Midlands Region Executive News

  15 April 2010

  At the Midlands Region Executive Meeting held on 13 March 2010 Chairman, Anne Strudwicke welcomed Lesley Knighton, to her last Trefoil meeting before she retired as Midlands Region Chief Commissioner.

• Mumbai WIN Project

  1 April 2010

  A total of £1177.89 was raised for the Mumbai WIN Project, what a magnificent effort by all the Midlands Region Guilds.

• Worcester Evening Guild Entertain Chernobyl Children

  14 July 2009

  On Thursday 25 June members from Worcester Evening Guild entertained ten children, aged eleven years, from Belarus as part of a holiday organised by Chernobyl Children Life Line Malvern & District Link. The children are staying in the Malvern area for four weeks.

• Midlands Region AGM

  5 May 2009

  A short AGM was held on Saturday 25 April at Trefoil House in Birmingham after the Region Executive meeting.

• Beauvale Guild plant a tree.

  27 April 2009

  In January this year 14 members from Beauvale Guild, Nottinghamshire took part in the planting, at Colliers Wood, Moorgreen, of a silver lime tree to celebrate their Guild’s silver anniversary year.
