From Rainbows to Trefoil Guild, Girlguiding Surrey West gathered at Charterhouse School, Godalming on 14th February for a ‘Voyage Round the World’ - their Centenary Thinking Day event. Charterhouse was the school attended by Robert Baden-Powell.

Passports were issued for travellers to visit the craft, music, food and environment zones in the Africa, Arab, Asia Pacific and Western Hemisphere Regions.

Such a variety of activities were enjoyed from making and playing didgeridoos to belly dancing, food tasting to making Egyptian necklaces.

The closing ceremony was held in the chapel with a Guide from 1910 meeting a Guide from 2010. Songs were sung, promises renewed and a collection taken for the WAGGGS Thinking Day Fund.
