Everyone who contributed so generously to the SPONSOR A DREAM APPEAL will be delighted to know that for a young woman from Uganda a life-long dream has come true.

Nancy had always dreamed of visiting Our Chalet and thanks to the appeal she has found herself working there as a Summer Volunteer.

Nancy Lamunu, a 25 year old Guider from Uganda, is one of a family of four whose father was killed in the civil war when she was very young. Encouraged by her mother, she worked hard at school and won a scholarship to study at Makerere University where she graduated in 2008 with a degree in Community Psychology.

Nancy enjoys working with the Young Leader age group and promotes under-privileged youth. She is an HIV/AIDS activist and has been a peer educator for HIV/AIDS projects. A talented craftswoman, she sells her work to finance such projects.
